An
integral part of the “Materials Receipt Procedures” is the GMO
Control System. The system is designed in cooperation with SGS
Belgium and SGS Agrilab to take advantage of their world wide
experience and based on the background information in Identity
Preservation Systems and Consignment Basis Operations according to
EU regulations EC 1830/2003
and lately by legislation EC No:
178/2002 .
The
system is formally evaluated each year with full records of
traceability, transportation, testing, segregation, storage and
related processes to be verified with an “Attestation of
Recognition” by SGS AGRILAB. For consignment basis testing, SGS
AGRILAB is contracted for the sampling of each incoming vessel at
discharge or truck at the place of loading according to GAFTA sampling standards. Composite samples are prepared and dispatched to
the accredited GeneScan GmbH Laboratories of the Eurofins
Group in
Freiburg, Germany for verification and certification of the Non-GMO
nature of incoming corn. All Semolina product lots are shipped with
a NON-GMO certificate with reference to the related Genescan
testing.
